How to connect your Facebook business page to Instagram

Depending on your setup, you may be using the New Pages Experience, Classic Pages, Professional Dashboard, or another page management option. The instructions on connecting to Instagram are very similar no matter which admin you use, but you may need a few extra clicks to find the connect button. You can refer to Facebook’s Help Center, or contact me and I will walk you through it.

Before you begin, if you don’t already have an Instagram account, go to instagram.com and create a business account.

If you currently use a personal account, do not link this one to your Facebook business page.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to your Facebook business page on your computer.
  2. Scroll down on the left side and click on “Settings”.
  3. Select “Instagram” from the left-side menu.
  4. Click on “Connect Account” and log in to your Instagram account.
  5. Select the Instagram account you want to link with your Facebook page.
  6. Click on “Done”.

If you are having difficulty with this first option, try this:

  1. Go to your Facebook business page on your computer.
  2. At the top right, click on your profile photo.
  3. Select “Settings & privacy.”
  4. Select “Settings.”
  5. In the left side menu, select “Linked Accounts.”
  6. Click on “Connect Account” and log in to your Instagram account.
  7. Follow the prompts to complete the connection.

That’s it. You’re all set! Now that your accounts are connected, you can easily share your Facebook posts on your Instagram account and access insights and analytics for both platforms from one place.
