Launched in 2022, the Mega Hall of Fame honours the most influential and most significant contributors to the success of Mega and its Members. Each year the Hall Of Fame Committee honours inductees who have earned the right to join the Hall of Fame by virtue of the impact of their achievements on Mega, its Members on the home goods industry as a whole.

Inductees into the prestigious Hall of Fame share many qualities.  They have been dedicated and committed to the success of Mega and its Members through their years of effort, contributions and stewardship.  They are innovators who challenge the status quo and have shown courage to try new ideas and push the boundaries of performance both in their business and for the benefit of the Mega family. Their unselfish motivation is for the betterment of independent retailers and they have proven that as role models and through their servant leadership.

Inductees may be Mega Members, staff or suppliers, but all will have clearly demonstrated the qualities of perseverance and drive necessary to create success in an ever-evolving retail world.  Those who follow will look up to them for their inspiration and their drive to succeed and the indelible mark they have left on the people they have touched and in the industry they have served.

Konrad Kozan’s retail journey began at a young age, working alongside his family at Regina’s Kozan Home Furnishings. His experience and acquired knowledge of the retail industry led him to join the Board of Directors in 1991, where he diligently served and contributed to the company for over 30 years, including a stint as chairman.

“Konrad has always had a vision of what the retailer needed from Mega to be successful,” stated Mega’s Chairman of the Governance Committee of the Board of Directors, Wayne Hambly. Konrad’s commitment and availability to help those around him cemented his reputation as a leader by example.

His loyalty and dedication to the Mega family and to the betterment of independent retailers whom he unselfishly served have earned him this well-deserved recognition.

“By establishing this award, Mega Group is continuing its recognition of not only our heritage and our continued recognition of our founders, but now recognizing those who continue to build on that foundation benefiting all in the years to come,” said Kozan. “I’m humbled to be recognized with that group.”
