Richard’s connection to the group goes back to the very beginning when his father, Jack Kullberg, along with four other members, founded VIP Stores Ltd. in 1965. “To me, the buying group has always been important, not only because it was partially started by our family, but it gave me the interaction with other people who were like-minded to be able to run ideas by at the various meetings. I think without that, you would feel so alone that it would be difficult to be a success in business,” he stated.

Whether serving on important committees or leading as Chair of the Board of Directors, Richard has and continues to demonstrate his unwavering commitment to Mega. The impact he has made on our group is immeasurable, and we wholeheartedly acknowledge and appreciate Richard’s ongoing involvement and timeless dedication with this award.

“I think it’s a fabulous group, and I am so proud to be a member. Even prouder to have been inducted into the Hall of Fame,” he said. “I thank everyone in the committee and everyone for this honour, it will be something that I cherish for the rest of my life.”
